85mm Forged Steel Ground Rod Driver Attachment
Driving grounding rods by hand is easily one of the most exhausting parts of any electrical or fencing project. I recently tested the 85mm Ground Rod Driver to see if this hammer drill attachment could actually take the strain out of the process.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality is immediately apparent; this piece is constructed from solid forged steel meant to withstand repeated, high-impact strikes from a hammer drill. It feels dense and rugged, showing no signs of deformation or stress after being used to drive multiple rods into compacted clay.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using the driver is straightforward: you simply lock it into your SDS-Max or appropriate hammer drill, slide it over the rod, and let the tool do the heavy lifting. The learning curve is non-existent, and it significantly cuts down on the time required to reach the necessary depth compared to traditional manual methods.
This is the perfect addition to the toolkit of any electrician, landscaper, or DIY enthusiast who frequently installs ground rods or fence posts.
Final Thoughts
With an impressive 4.81/5 rating, the 85mm Ground Rod Driver is a no-brainer for anyone who values their time and energy. At a price of $32.90, it is a small investment that pays for itself after just one project by eliminating the need for back-breaking manual labor.
